- Home So Bad and Getting Worse
By: Hubert Wilson

Presidents James Buchanan and Warren G. Harding are considered the worst.
Now a new candidate onto this sorry field has burst?
Sinking fast!
Sure to finish last?
The 43rd!
Will be the most absurd?
With his unwinnable war,
Friend and foe - now America they both abhor?
Reduced taxation of the rich and aggressive military spending,
Is America's bankruptcy pending?
Deliberately and dangerously attacking separation of church and state,
Will the entire Constitution suffer the same fate?
On affairs domestic and foreign - America is misled,
As language and truth he continues to shred?
Incompetent from New Orleans to Iraq,
America - the entire world seems to mock?
American employment, pensions, and benefit elimination
Result in a gravely wounded nation?
Hostile to science and technological progress,
An education system in great distress?
Massive war profiteering,
Is the collapse of our military nearing?
The simple answer!
Impeachment to remove this dismal national cancer?

About this poem:
